VAPEFREEMS AND SOCIAL MEDIA

Over the past few years, we have watched the vast variety of social media channels flourish into a landing area for fact driven discovery and conversation. Our current campaigns #GENFREEMS and #VAPEFREEMS are no different. Each advocacy team is empowered to create videos and other social media content to inform their peers about the harmful effects of vaping and using e-cigarettes as well as COVID-19 and mental health. We continue to highlight the peer-led activities and events, while also being able to provide them with a digital platform for advocacy.

a free cessation program

VAPEFREEMS is a free, anonymous cessation campaign sponsored by the Truth Initiative . VAPEFREEMS is a part of This Is Quitting Mississippi. This program is for teens and young adults ages 13 to 24. The program is confidential and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Teens can receive 12 weeks of encouraging and supportive texts to help them along their cessation journey. They even have the option to set up a quit date.
