 Help Yourself

Know The Facts
Are you fully aware of what you are doing to your body? The common conception is that JUULs are harmless. If you knew the actual truth about your habit, you will feel motivated to quit. When you are brought out of the Darkness and the smoke is cleared, you’ll realize it is time to take action.

Make A Plan
Once you realize that vaping is not helping you and only holding you back from being the best version of yourself, the next step is devising a plan that will best fit your situation. Depending on the seriousness of your habit, you might have to go about different ways to kick the habit. Setting a quit date is always useful!

Don’t Feel Afraid to Seek Help
Quitting on your own is definitely possible but if you have fallen deep under nicotine’s curse, you might need to seek assistance. There are plenty of loving and supportive organizations ready to help you quit the habit.

You Don’t Have to Do it Alone
Similar to finding a working buddy, find someone to keep you on track and hold you accountable. If you don’t feel comfortable seeking help from your friends or family, the Quit Line is ready to aid you in quitting.

Find Healthier Habits/Find A Distraction/Find a better “Stress Reliever”
Now that you are quitting a major habit, you will want to find something else to occupy your time. If vaping was your “stress reliever”, try to get into some sort of mind calming activity such as yoga, meditation, or even exercising. If vaping was your distraction from something, try to find a way to dedicate this newly found energy towards a task that is positive and mentally enriching.

It’s Okay to Slip-Up
Nicotine is very addictive and is not easy to quit, duh! If you slip up, it’s important to know why you slipped up so you can add that to your plan to avoid that situation happening again in the future.

Celebrate When You Succeed
You are doing a very important and positive thing in your life, so you deserve to be rewarded! Challenge yourself. The greater the challenge, the greater the reward. When you begin to celebrate, you will realize that there are multiple ways to bring stress-free happiness into your life.

Help Your Friends

Know The Facts
Are you fully aware of what you are doing to your body? The common conception is that JUULs are harmless. If you knew the actual truth about your habit, you will feel motivated to quit. When you are brought out of the Darkness and the smoke is cleared, you’ll realize it is time to take action.

They will need your support
Your friend is going through a difficult time right now and giving them your full support is of the upmost importance. It helps the quitter to know they have your support. When times get hard, they will think about how much you help them and how they will be letting you down.

Learn Their Situation
Figure out their vaping background. This includes learning their triggers, how to aid their conversion, and different proven-to-work methods to support them. This might involve you doing some research on your own about vaping and how to assist in preventing it.

Make Sure They Know It’s Okay to Slip Up
At the end of the day, we are all humans and we mess up. Early on in their friends journey, they might slip up and vape again. Instead of ridiculing them, encourage them to keep striving to succeed. Show them how far they have come and how much potential they have to keep fighting back. You are their Support System!

Stay Persistent
Stay with your friend to the end. Your friend might get accustomed to you being there for them. You might think it is a small thing but it might be a huge thing to them. Good Morning text and Morning Motivational text might let them know early in the morning that they CAN conquer the day.

There’s More People to Be Saved
Now that you have helped one friend, I’m sure you have more friends or people in your community that need the same assistance. Some people are on the brink of quitting but they need a little extra push. Be the push they need to kick the habit!
